Have you ever heard of kale chips? All of a sudden, everywhere I looked on the raw food recipe blogs it seemed that everyone was making kale chips and raving about them. So I thought I'd try my hand at them. They're delicious and so easy to make! This can be considered a low carb snack, btw.
You can do this in a dehydrator or the oven. If using a dehydrator, only heat up to 105 degrees to keep it "raw". In the oven, I guess you would turn it on to the lowest setting and heat it to that temperature and then shut the oven off and let the heat coast until the kale is thoroughly dried.
I used the bagged kale, you know, the shredded kind? The two downsides to making it with this type is that the size is chosen for you (remember, things shrink in the dehydrator) and some pieces have the stems attached, and the stems aren't too tasty, so you have to hand-pick them out if you want to save the hassle afterwards.
Here is a helpful video done by raw food author, Mimi Kirk (who is in her early 70's btw!):
I used her recipe in a general sense. She shows how she normally just eyes the amounts she adds, and that's what I did. My first batch was overly seasoned, but the second batch was a lot lighter. Each time I make them I'll tweak them till I get them the way I like best. I used pizza seasoning for my first two batches. You can use anything you like.
Try them! I think you like them!

I haven't gotten brave enough yet. Someday...
It's a fun way to get kids to eat dark green leafy veggies. Just don't tell Goose what it is. ;) Eating some now. Mmmmm.
